ASUS shows TUF Gaming A2020 and A15 laptops based on AMD Ryzen 17H at CES 4000

During her conference at CES 2020, Lisa Su, CEO of AMD, introduced the new Ryzen 4000H and Ryzen 4000U processors. These new processors are based on the Zen2 @ 7nm architecture, the same used in the desktop Ryzen 3000. ASUS is one of the manufacturers that bets on these new processors. The company has introduced the TUF Gaming A15 and TUF Gaming A17 gaming laptops.

Laptops have a major role in the Las Vegas event, as we can see. Even the big Intel presentation was focused on laptops. These ASUS systems will offer a fairly simple and inexpensive solution, allowing portable gaming.

ASUS presents two laptops based on the Ryzen 4000

The 15.6-inch TUF Gaming is based on processors Ryzen 4000 up to 8 cores and 16 threads with an RTX 2060 graphics card. On the other hand, the 17.3-inch TUF Gaming will share processors, but at most it will mount a GTX 1660 Ti.

Regarding the rest of the characteristics, they are common for both laptops. They will support up to 32GB DDR4 @ 3200MHz and have space for an M.2 NVMe SSD of up to 1TB capacity. The two models, in terms of connectivity, offer us 802.11ac WiFi with Bluetooth 5.0. These two models have a backlit keyboard and a 90Wh battery, which is equivalent to about 12.3 hours for video playback.

We will also see the AUS TUF Gaming F15 and TUF Gaming F17, two laptops based on Intel Core processors. Possibly they mount Ice Lake processors, although no information has been specified.

Upon launch, the AMD processor-based laptops will be released in the next few weeks. Laptops based on Intel processors, these will arrive "sometime in 2020." On the prices there is no data, but surely those based on AMD processors will be cheaper than those based on Intel processors.
