ASUS RoG Zephyrus based on the Ryzen 9 4900HS is listed for 1.900 euros

The first laptops based on AMD Ryzen 4000H Series processors are starting to arrive. Specifically, the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 laptop, based on the AMD Ryzen 9 4900HS processor, has been listed . This is a high-end laptop designed specifically for the gaming market. Furthermore, this ASUS Zephyrus laptop is the same one we saw at CES 2020 when AMD unveiled its new processors.

We want to clarify that the Ryzen 4000 processors are based on the Zen 2 architecture and 7nm manufacturing process . They are essentially Ryzen 3000 processors , although the company has chosen to name them differently; we don't know why. Regarding the Ryzen 9 4900HS, it features 8 cores and 16 threads with a Boost clock speed of 4.4GHz and a TDP of 45W.

Curiously, this processor, despite having more frequency, has a lower TDP than the Ryzen 9 4800HS. The Ryzen 9 4800HS arrives in Boost mode at 4.2GHz, but with a TDP of 45W. It is because AMD has chosen the silicones independently, choosing the best ones, adjusting voltages and frequencies.

The laptop is accompanied by a 14-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 2560 × 1440 pixels and a refresh rate of 60Hz. The 32GB DDR4 @ 3200MHz processor is accompanied by a 2TB M.1 NVMe SSD and an NVIDIA RTX 2060 Max-Q. We are talking about a high-end gaming laptop that has been listed in Romania for 1900 euros.

Note that the price of this laptop is high because it implements AniMe Matrix LED technology on the top cover. It's basically customizable LED lighting on the lid, which doesn't make the slightest sense. A totally empty pijada that only serves to make the final product more expensive, as in all components that have RGB.
