Dell adds AMD Ryzen 4000H processors to its G3 and G5 laptops

For notebook computers AMD has developed the Ryzen 4000U / H processors that eat the Intel Mobile. These new AMD processors offer great efficiency and great performance, allowing to reduce the price of notebooks. Now Dell, one of the largest laptop manufacturers in the world, announces G3 and G5 gaming laptops powered by AMD (and some Intel) processors

Dell G5 models They will come with Intel processors and with AMD processors, while the G3 only with Intel processors. Clearly AMD-based laptops are coming and they're here to stay. This yes, laptops with Ryzen processors will have rather discrete graphics, because Intel pays for this to be so, supposedly.

Dell bets on Ryzen 4000H processors

We have on the one hand the Dell G5 SE that are based on the Ryzen 9 4900H and Ryzen 7 4800H, both with 8 cores and 16 threads, as well as the Ryzen 5 4600H with 6 cores and 12 threads. These laptops feature a 15.6-inch IPS panel that offers a 1920 × 1080 @ 144Hz resolution. The great limitation of these laptops that we can only choose a Radeon RX 5600M graphics.

On top we have the Dell G15-5500 based on the Intel Core i7-10750H with 6 cores and 12 threads and the Core i5-10300H with 4 cores and 8 threads. These laptops also have a 15.6-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 @ 144Hz. The good thing about these models is that they support from an NVIDIA GTX 1650Ti to an RTX 2070 Max-Q.

All models will arrive with at least 8GB of DDR4 RAM and an SSD that will range from 128GB to 1TB.

Finally we have the Dell G3 with a FullHD @ 60 / 144Hz resolution IPS panel. For this we can only choose 10th Gen Intel processors and the graphics will range from the GTX 1650 to the RTX 2060. They will be complemented with 8GB or 16GB of DDR4 RAM @ 2933MHz and storage up to 1TB.

There is no data on launch date and price.
