MSI Bravo 5, a cheap gaming laptop based on the Ryzen 4000 and RX 5500M

Last night the Ryzen 4000H and Ryzen 4000U processors for laptops were introduced by AMD. Despite the name of these processors, they are really based on the Zen2 @ 7nm architecture. Following the conference at AMD's CES 2020, Ford laptops are starting to be seen on these CPUs. The last one we've seen is the MSI Bravo 5.

The MSI Bravo 5 seeks to offer users a great solution for gaming enthusiasts with excellent value for money. The new notebooks are based on the Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7 processors from the Ryzen 4000H family. This laptop will be complemented by a Ryzen 5500M graphics card for mid-range gaming.

MSI Introduces Bravo 5 Laptops

Who else is betting on AMD processors and graphics is MSI, which has developed a line of specific laptops based on Ryzen and Radeon. This laptop is complemented by a 15.6-inch IPS panel with a 1080p resolution. The monitor offers us a 144Hz refresh rate and this panel supports AMD FreeSync technology.

Interestingly, MSI has focused the presentation of the Bravo 5 on AMD components, not revealing other features such as storage and RAM. Although they have not given data, it seems that it will not implement the best components on the market. This does not mean that they are going to be bad, they are simply somewhat more modest to adjust the price.

Something that MSI puts a lot of emphasis on regarding the Bravo 5 is the chassis, which is very light. They have implemented a "high resolution" sound system. Also on the top cover we see the logo created for the Alpha 15, intended for AMD solutions.

Regarding connectivity, it has a 3.5mm jack connector, two USB 3.0, two USB 3.2 Type-C, an RJ45 and an HDMI. It is expected to hit the market during the first half of the year and the price will be below 1000 euros.
