First images of the NVIDIA RTX 3070 Mobile

The arrival on the market of the new NVIDIA RTX 3000 has been far from smooth and easy. After the initial stock problems have come the graphics stability problems due to overclocking. Now the NVIDIA RTX 3070 Mobile for next-gen gaming laptops has been leaked. This graph, based on the filtered image, is based on GA104 silicon.

As is often the case with laptops, this graphic will be a trimmed version of the desktop model. Despite this, the jump in play will be more than remarkable, since the NVIDIA Ampere architecture is very good. Let's see what the NVIDIA RTX 3070 Mobile offers us, in addition to Ray Tracing and DLSS.

The NVIDIA RTX 3070 Mobile is seen

This new NVDIIA RTX 3070 Mobile graphics card will be based on GA104 silicon, but in a trimmed version. The full version of the GA104 features 6144 CUDA Cores, but the laptop version features 5888 CUDA Cores. In addition, this graphics card could be accompanied by up to 8GB GDDR6, although the latter is not clear. It is said that these memories will have a 256-bit memory interface and would be manufactured by SK Hynix.

Something that seems more or less clear is that the RTX 3070 Mobile would not arrive until 2021. It is speculated that they could arrive at the end of Q1 or the beginning of Q2 of 2021, according to the latest movements seen. This is because a new batch of gaming laptops based on RTX 20 Series graphics have been introduced very recently.

As always, these are rumors and then things can change a lot as things go. Perhaps AMD surprises with its Big Navi graphics and NVIDIA has to fight back in a hurry. Although knowing Samsung's troubles in producing Ampere GPUs, an on-the-fly answer seems difficult.
