Acer Announces Availability of New Swift 5 and Swift 3 Laptops

The award-winning thin and light Acer Swift 5 notebook is one of the first approved by the Intel Evo platform and is accompanied by the Swift 3 notebooks. This ensures that it has a minimum of quality and performance.

Acer and its Inel Evo Core ready notebooks

Swift 5 (SF514-55) is an ultraportable with a Corning Gorilla Glass antimicrobial touchscreen. With the option to include an antimicrobial solution on the touch panel, keyboard and all device covers (SF414-55TA). Also, it is verified as a laptop designed for the Intel Evo platform.

There are two Swift 3 models that offer great performance. First up is the Swift 3 (SF313-53) which maximizes display and productivity with a 2-inch 3: 2 high-brightness 13,5K display. Then there's the sleek and sleek Swift 3 (SF314-59) featuring a 16-inch 9: 14 Full HD display.

The new Acer Swift 5 notebook is one of the first in the industry to be verified through Intel's Project Athena innovation program, as a notebook design for the Intel®Evo ™ platform. It is also and designed to deliver incredibly responsive mobile performance and immersive features that enhance the overall experience. They include instant activation, Iris Xe Graphics, brilliant displays, and the latest in connectivity.

In addition, each of the Acer Swift notebooks has a battery that lasts a whole day and fast charging. They are capable of offering four hours of use with just 30 minutes of charging. The Acer Swift 3 notebook designs are part of Intel's Project Athena innovation and goal verification program, awaiting further adjustments to utilize the Intel Evo platform badge.

Swift 5: portable sophistication with antimicrobial properties

The ultra-thin and lightweight Acer Swift 5 (SF514-55) notebook combines a super sleek design with the latest performance technology. It is equipped with 11th generation Intel® Core ™ i5 and Core i7 processors, and verified to meet the requirements of the Intel Evo platform. Swift 5 has enough power and performance to run multiple applications smoothly. Its battery offers up to 17 hours of autonomy for good productivity throughout the day.

Swift 5 can handle video, graphics and more from anywhere, with Intel's new Iris Xe graphics. The Swift 5's impressive capabilities are combined with its sophisticated aesthetics. The premium magnesium-lithium and magnesium-aluminum case is strong yet lightweight, weighing only about 1kg. The hinge is specially designed to raise the device when the screen is opened. This detail improves ergonomics while typing, provides better thermal performance, and maintains focus on the vibrant 14-inch Full HD display.

With a brightness of 340 nits and covering 100% of the sRGB color gamut, the display is surrounded by ultra-narrow bezels on all four sides. This results in a 90% screen-to-body ratio, creating an immersive viewing experience and a more compact form factor. The Swift 5 touch screen is covered with a layer of Antimicrobial Corning® Gorilla® Glass. It has been specially created to reduce the growth of microorganisms that cause odors and stains. Additionally, users have the option of including an antimicrobial solution on the touchpad, keyboard, and all device covers.

Swift 3: performance and portability in two different display options

With an ideal balance between performance and design, two models in the Acer Swift 3 line will be driven by the new 11th generation Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors. They are part of the Project Athena innovation program. Swift 3 notebooks are currently in the process of being verified, awaiting further adjustments, to use the Intel Evo platform badge. The two new Swift 3 models have a sleek metal casing. They have the latest technology including Intel Iris Xe and Thunderbolt 4 graphics. Users will also enjoy a fast and secure Internet connection with WiFi6 (Gig +).

The new Acer Swift 3 (SF313-53) maximizes viewing with a 13,5-inch dynamic screen that increases productivity, 2256 x 1504 resolution and a 3: 2 aspect ratio for greater vertical viewing of up to 18% , reducing the need to scroll. Additionally, the display covers 100 percent of the sRGB color gamut and has a 400-nit brightness rating.

Swift 3 (SF313-53) provides up to 18 hours of autonomy for high productivity throughout the day. Additionally, the lightweight and durable aluminum and magnesium-aluminum design makes Swift 3 (SF313-53) easy to transport anywhere. It measures just 15,95mm thin, weighing just 1,19kg. With a slim and elegant design, the new Acer Swift 3 (SF314-59) has an aluminum casing and a magnesium and aluminum armrest.

Swift 0,22's 3-inch ultra-narrow bezels enhance the compact frame and provide a screen-to-body ratio of up to 82,73%. So keep the focus on your bright images on the 14-inch Full HD screen. Weighing just 1,2kg and measuring just 15,95mm thick, Swift 3 is easy to carry around and fits easily into a briefcase or backpack. Both Swift 3 models have a backlit keyboard, use fast and secure SSD storage, and support up to 16GB of LPDDR4X memory.

In addition, they both support Windows Hello through a fingerprint reader for easier and more secure access.

Swift 3 and Swift 5 availability

  • Acer Swift 5 (SF514-55) with 11th generation Intel Core processors and a 14-inch Full HD display will be available in Spain in October with a price starting at 1.099 euros.
  • Acer Swift 3 (SF313-53) with 11th generation Intel Core processors and a 2-inch 13,5K screen will be available in Spain in November with a price starting at 899 euros.
  • The Acer Swift 3 (SF314-59) notebook with 11th generation Intel Core processors and a 14-inch Full HD screen will be available in EMEA in November with a price starting at 699 euros.

    The exact specifications, prices and availability will depend on each region.
