First benchmark of the Intel Kaby Lake G processor with integrated AMD RX Vega M graphics, specifically the i7 8705G processor, which integrates an AMD RX Vega M GH graphics, designed for gaming at a resolution of 1080p.
One of the most interesting pieces of information in recent months has been the movements between Intel and AMD, two companies that are potentially facing each other in the processor market. That does not mean that Intel wants to dominate the processor market, but it has a problem, its integrated graphics are very weak and are not useful for gaming, something that causes AMD or NVIDIA graphics to be installed. The solution has been the Kaby Lake G, processors that integrate an AMD RX Vega in the same package.
Intel and AMD have teamed up to cut the weight that NVIDIA has in the laptop market and thus have developed several models of Kaby Lake G processors with RX Vega M GL and RX Vega M GH graphics. The RX Vega M GL have 20 Compute Units, while the RX Vega M GH have 24 Compute Units, more than enough to move games to 1080p resolutions, lowering the costs of developing a laptop.
What we do not know is the performance of these graphics cards integrated in Intel processors, but in Hot Hardware they have had access to the new Dell XPS 15, which integrates the Core i7 8705G processor, which implements AMD graphics. They have tested, as far as it is known, the Rise of the Tomb Raider, at a resolution of 1080p and a High quality, something that has provided a rate of 34.87FPS. These data contrast with the poor results of an HD Graphics 620 that stays at 8.23FP, the NVIDIA MX 150 gives 23.56FPS and the GTX 1050 in its laptop version gives 38FPS.
We clearly see that the Intel-AMD solution for laptops is very attractive and its performance aims to be very good. But not only does it seek to compete with NVIDIA in performance, it seeks to offer a good solution that allows reducing costs in the laptop market, allowing the development of economical solutions that allow playing without problems.

I hope they are already on the market in mid-April, that integration looks super interesting.
