We see the first data of the AMD Ryzen 5 2500U processors, in this case implemented in the HP Envy x360 and the data shown is quite interesting.
It seems that there is very little left for AMD Ryzen processors to reach the laptop market. The Ryzen Mobile are based on the Zen architecture, the same architecture of the Ryzen processors for the desktop market. These new Ryzen 5 2500U processors will initially arrive in computers from HP, Lenovo and Acer. Right now there are three laptop models that will make use of these processors, such as the HP Envy x360, Lenovo Ideapad 720S and Acer Swift 3, but we will see how more laptops with Ryzen Mobile processors arrive in 2018.
We are facing an apparent turning point for AMD, as these processors are expected to stand up to Intel Core processors. Notebookcheck has had access to an HP notebook with the AMD Ryzen 5 2500U processor and they have subjected it to some benchmarks. The data reflects that it is quite high in the table and that it is very competitive against Intel processors.
If we see the data the Ryzen 5 2500U, in a single core in the Cinebench R15 it has given 137 points, while in multicore, it offers a result of 574 points. If we see the data obtained in the 3DMark 11, it has given a score of 2918 points in combined power in a resolution of 1280 × 720, while only the GPU has given a result of 1280 × 720, the result has been 3602 points .
The data is very relevant, since this Ryzen 5 2500U processor is in terms of performance above the i5 7300HQ and is shown on a par with the i7 7700HQ. Regarding the graphics, it incorporates Vega 8 graphics that surpass the NVIDIA GeForce 940MX graphics, but in this case it does not manage to overcome the GeForce MX150, something that we already intuited, but which is apparently confirmed.

all laptops with apus ryzen are being assembled with a single memory in single channel and this greatly limits the performance of the gpu since the apus are very dependent on the ram memory in dual channel
If I add another memory, will the performance increase?
onboard graphics bandwidth doubles and performance improves

they have a good price for now
