Project Skorpio will record 4K natively and incorporate the PSU.
Project Skorpio will record at 4K 60 FPS from the console itself
New rumors have arrived about the new Microsoft console that we will be able to see in the market throughout this year 2017, although the official release date has not yet been confirmed. In this case, it is about that it will not only be able to produce 4K content thanks to supporting the HEVC and VP9 decoding formats, which for example allows Netflix to watch at 4K, but it will also give the possibility of capturing at a 4K 60 FPS resolution for streaming of our games. In this way, content creators will not have the need to buy a grabber.
This task will be carried out through the Microsoft Beam platform, which has been testing live broadcasting in 4K for some time. We will see if the supposed 6 TFLOPS of power of this console are able to deal with this high resolution. In parallel with this we have the rumor that the power supply or PSU will be found inside the Project Skorpio, this will save a lot of headaches for the cable management and the aesthetics of the set-ups.
Here we leave you the official video about the new Xbox console, Project Skorpio.
