QNAP Introduces TS-x53BU Series Quad-core Rackmount NAS with PCIe M.2 SSD
QNAP Systems, Inc. today launched the TS-x53BU NAS series (available in 4-bay, 8-bay, and 12-bay models with redundant and single power supply options) offering optimal performance and deployment flexibility with 4 Gigabit ports. LAN and expandability for M2 and 10GbE SSD connections. The TS-x53BU models come in a standard 1U and 2U form factor, and are ideal for SMBs and workgroups that require stable, secure, and high-performance storage.
The QNAP TS-x53BU series, powered by a 3455nm 14GHz quad-core Intel Celeron J1.5 processor (capable of up to 2.3GHz), up to 8GB of dual channel DDR3L RAM, SATA 6Gb / s and 4 Gigabit LAN ports , offers up to 415MB / s read speed and 416MB / s read speed with Intel® AES-NI 256-bit encryption. Additionally, the TS-x53BU-RP provides a redundant power supply to ensure optimal uptime for mission critical applications.
The TS-x53BU comes with a PCIe slot that allows you to install a QNAP QM2 M.2 SSD/10GbE LAN adapter to boost SSD cache performance and provide 10GbE connectivity (10GbE connectivity varies by model). Coupled with QNAP’s automated storage tiering technology (which now supports “Priority Allocation on Demand”), the TS-x53BU series helps users make the most of their hardware resources and storage allocation. Users can also consider installing a 10GbE/Gigabit adapter or a 3.1Gbps USB 10 adapter for various storage applications.
“The TS-x53BU series secures data with a comprehensive backup solution while providing high performance and expandability. The PCIe slot meets a range of business demands with functional expansion options including SSD caching or 10GbE connectivity,” said Dan Lin, Product Manager of QNAP.
The TS-x53BU offers high-capacity storage, providing an ideal solution for deploying virtualization environments and hosting virtual machines, helping businesses reduce IT server expenses. With QNAP QRM +, users can easily manage and monitor Windows, Linux and IPMI network devices through a single platform. The TS-x53BU series QTS-Linux dual systems also allow users to develop or use IoT packages for Linux and deploy them using the HDMI output.
Powered by the latest QTS 4.3 OS, the TS-x53BU series offers a wide range of applications from the built-in App Center: “IFTTT Agent” and “Qfiling” help automate user workflows to improve efficiency and productivity; “Qsync” and “Hybrid Backup Sync” simplify file sharing and synchronization between devices; “QmailAgent” and “Qcontactz” enable easier management of multiple email accounts and contact information; “Qsirch” provides full-text search for quick file searching; “QVR Pro” integrates video surveillance functions into QTS to provide users with an intelligent surveillance management system.
