There is a trend to launch compact solutions, especially with regard to towers. This allows the user to have a high-performance equipment in a minimum space. The big brands bet on these barebones and hardware developers are aware that this solution appeals to an audience that wants high performance and has little space to install a computer. REEVEN, a company specialized in computer towers, has announced koios. This cube-shaped tower is designed for motherboards of the microATX.
It stands out of this tower that the assembly and maintenance of the equipment has been thought about and for this a hinge system has been installed that allows moving the upper and front part, which are joined to the lower and rear part by means of a hinge. Although this tower is really compact, it supports large hardware, such as graphics cards up to 340mm in length or with a heatsink up to 180mm high. Supports motherboards miniITX or microATX. Without a doubt, it is a compact tower but it can be ideal for users who want a compact gaming equipment.
Regarding space and hardware support, the Koios supports conventional power supplies (no need to install compact power supplies), it has two bays for 3.5 ”hard drives and another two for 2.5” hard drives. Additionally, in the front panel area there is space for an optical drive unit, another 3.5 "hard disk and another 2.5", adding six hard disk drives and one for optical media such as DVD players o Blue-ray. It has space for a 140mm front fan and a 120mm rear fan, which is factory installed. The top and side panel has an acrylic window that allows us to see inside. Finally, in terms of connectivity we have two USB 3.0 ports on the front and the typical audio input and output. It has a comfortable carrying handle.
