Microsoft reveals the specifications necessary for a computer to have Windows 10 Cloud
At the beginning of this year 2017 we learned that the company wanted to put a stop to the success that Chromebooks were reaping with their ChromeOS operating system. For this task they decided to develop their own version of Windows 10 for PC, that is, Windows 10 Cloud. In this case we are facing a more simplified version that has differences such as: better optimization for the Universal Windows Platform (UWP), ability to run Win32 applications through "Project Centennial" through the store, an optimization for a More modest hardware performs more easily and can be upgraded to Home or Pro by license. The most prominent and controversial feature is the section of not being able to install any application not from the Windows Store, with the disadvantages and security advantages that it entails.
The minimum hardware that a laptop will have to have to have Windows Cloud must be at least a 4-core Intel Celeron that is accompanied by 4 GB of RAM. The storage must be 32GB for the 32-bit version and 64 GB for the 64-bit version, the technology must be Fast eMMC or solid state drive (SSD). The battery must be at least 40 WHr and it is possible to have a Touch Pencil.
