Today was the official announcement of Windows 11 and with it the minimum requirements have come out. Can your PC move the new operating system smoothly?
They just got the minimum requirements to install it. It is important to know if we can update to the new operating system, since in just four years, Windows 10 will stop receiving support and security updates. This means that if a critical Windows 10 error is found after the end of support date, our system will be totally compromised.

- CPU: 1 GHz or faster with 2 or more cores in a compatible 64-bit processor or System-on-Chip (SoC)
- Graphics card compatible with DirectX12 or with the WDDM 2.0 driver
- 4 GB of RAM
- 64 GB of hard disk space where Windows 11 will be stored and run
- 720p display at least 9 inches in diagonal size
- System firmware capable of running Secure Boost
- TPM 2.0
- Internet connection to download updates
As you can see, the requirements are not exceptionally demanding, since as we say a lot around here, Microsoft is interested in being compatible with many mid-range and even low-end models in order to sell its software as a service. Shortly after these requirements were announced, it was seen that the TPM 2.0 can give some other problem to old terminals, so if they want to update to Windows 11 they will need to find a method that does bypass.
While TPM 2.0 might only be required for pre-built desktops and laptops that want to support it, it's reasonable to expect that if your computer can already run Windows 10, it will also be able to run Windows 11. This is especially true considering that Windows 10 support will end in just four years , and it's unrealistic to expect hundreds of millions of users to upgrade their hardware when we're experiencing a component shortage that isn't expected to end for another two years.
