Ryzen 7 7745HX in benchmarks is almost on par with the i9-12950HX

Now that new CPU architectures have been released by AMD, after releasing consumer ones, workstation CPUs are yet to come, an industry that values any margin for performance improvement. In the future there is a glimpse of the Ryzen 7 7745HX using the core architecture Zen 4. The first results of the Cinebench R23 benchmark of the Zen 7-based AMD Ryzen 7745 4HX processor have been shared online.

Based on the results, the CPU seems to be on par with Intel's 12th generation Core chips. What is a good position? but then the 13th generation Raptor Lake would arrive.

First Ryzen 7 7745HX benchmark appears online

According to the photo posted on Bilibili, the AMD Ryzen 7000HX professional-grade processor scored 1.828 points in the Cinebench R23 single-core test and 18.606 points in the Cinebench R23 multi-core test. This CPU with 8 performance cores and 16 efficiency has been able to accelerate up to 5,1GHz with a cTDP of 45-75W.

Comparing the scores of the Ryzen 7 7745HX with those of other processors, it is almost as fast as Intel's flagship 12th generation Core mobile chip, the Core i9-12950HX. But in terms of multicore performance, Intel's processor still has a slight advantage in its favor, which can be attributed to having eight additional efficiency cores that improve multicore performance. Compared to the 9-core, 6900-efficiency Ryzen 8 16HX, the Zen 4-based chip scores 15% faster in the single-core test and 30% faster in the multi-core test.

The first laptops with AMD Ryzen 7000HX processors will be available at the end of this month, for which further comparative test results are expected. Soon the same category of Intel Raptor Lake would come out, so, as we say, there it would be seen if AMD's high-performance CPUs for professional laptops can compete with the Intel equivalent, with which the throne could last a few weeks.
