Saints Row 5: Already in development according to THQ Nordic

Saints Row 5 is coming soon, at least six years after the last major installment. Volition is already developing it.

Saints Row, the THQ series that in its day was proclaimed as one of the few that could rival Grand Theft Auto by having the humor and madness that the RockStar Games series lost since the fourth installment. Right now a Saints Row 5 would be ideal for fans who have waited many years since the last installment. And yes, it is in development.

Saints Row 5, or whatever it's called, is a reality in the future

How come fans have been waiting so long for Saints Row 5 to come out? You see, Saints Row IV came out in August 2013 shortly after Deep Silver acquired the rights to the franchise. They released a sort of special installment that reused part of the map from Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell that few fans liked because it was “too crazy.” They also released Agents of Mayhem two years ago that went down in smoke, and people remember it as “that game from the creators of Saints Row.”

Now a fifth of the franchise is in development, officially confirmed by THQ Nordic. We've been without a major new Saints Row installment for six months, which is a long wait. Of course, the announcement from THQ Nordic that Deep Silver owns has only said that the game is in development.

We do not know for which platforms it is in development or when it will arrive, but it can be easily deduced that it has been in development since shortly after the launch of Agents of Mayhem, in 2017. By the end of this year it should have been two years in development and with a possible release sometime in 2020 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and maybe Google Stadia.
