A few days ago the new Lenovo Y520 appeared on the Lenovo website, which one of its options was an AMD RX 560M, that led us to think that it would be a revision of the RX 460M, with slight improvements, but that theory seems that It would be disassembled and it was seen today at CES 2017 that Samsung could launch the Samsung Odyssey with an RX 570.

It is striking that it does not have the letter 'M', which would indicate that this graphics card is not a version developed entirely for laptops and apparently it would come in a version with 4GB of GDD5 memory and another with 8GB of GDDR5 memory. Samsung has said that it is not a typographical error, that it is the graphics card that will mount this laptop, which leaves many questions in the air.

We can formulate two theories at this point. The first is that it is NOT a VEGA graphics card, since it would carry GDDR5 and as we know, the new AMD graphics would not use this type of memory and would only use the HBM2. The second theory that we can formulate is that IF it is a VEGA graphics, but low-end or mid-range, but it would be in the lower part of the mid-range, which would suggest that two types of graphics cards would arrive, some less powerful with GDDR5 and other more powerful with HBM2. What would Occam say about all this?

Odyssey, Samsung's gaming laptop, we remember that it is a 17.3-inch computer, which will have a maximum FullHD resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels. Internally, these laptops will incorporate Intel Kaby Lake processors and as the company has shown at CES, they could have a GTX 1070 from NVIDIA and the already mentioned RX 570 from AMD.

AMD, after seeing the stir that its new graphics has caused, has come out to say that it is an update of the AMD RX 400 Series graphics for laptops, which will not be VEGA graphics cards.
