ASUS Republic of Gamers MG248QE 24-inch monitor with AMD FreeSync technology announced
ASUS Republic of Gamers MG248QE monitor announced, which has a size of 24 inches, a refresh rate of 144Hz and also offers support for AMD FreeSync technology.
We tend to pay close attention to the keyboard, headphones, mouse and even the mousepad, but a very important element for gaming, as for everything in general, is the monitor, which must be of the best possible quality, to avoid damage our eyesight, since we will spend many hours in front of the screen. ASUS has just announced the launch of the Republic of Gamers MG248QE gaming monitor, which is based on a 24-inch TN-type panel, with a FullHD 1920 × 1080 pixel resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. It has a 1ms GtG response time and features AMD FreeSync technology.
The size is not bad at all, since it is the minimum size that today we can consider acceptable, but perhaps it lacks being 4K, although playing in this quality is rare and 1080p is usually chosen.
Regarding the panel, it offers us a 1.000: 1 contrast, while the dynamic contrast is 100.000.000: 1. It has a maximum illumination of 350cd / m2 and covers 72% of the NTSC color space. To offer the best possible quality, it makes use of GameVisual technology, which offers us the possibility of having a crosshead on the screen, which allows us to see different parameters, such as the time, the number of frames and other characteristics.
Connectivity is a very important part of this ASUS monitor, as three DisplayPort 1.2a connectors, one HDMI 1.4a and one DVI have been implemented. Low Blue-Light technology has been provided, which reduces the emission of blue light, which is very harmful to the eyes. It has a slim bezel design with a multi-monitor setup in mind. The big downside is the price, since this monitor will be around € 300, very expensive for a 1080p monitor.
