A delid of the Intel Core i7 8700K processor appears, from the Coffee Lake family, where we see a slightly longer silicon with respect to the Kaby Lake and a little more surface than DIE.
Intel's Coffee Lake processors, based on the data we have, will hit the market tomorrow. Before its arrival on the market, we have already seen a delid of this processor, revealing the silicon once the IHS has been withdrawn. If we look at the silicon surface of this processor, we see that it is the same width as the Kaby Lake processors, specifically the Core i7 7700K. We see that this Core i7 8700K has a longer length, because this processor has more cores.
These new Coffee Lake processors have a total of six cores and the useful surface of the DIE has dimensions of 151mm2. These two extra cores represent an increase of 29 mm2 regarding the DIE of Kaby Lake processors. The new Coffee Lake 8700K, offer great overclocking potential, allowing to reach 5GHz without major problems with an AIO liquid cooling system. We must remember that the heat-conducting element between the IHS and the DIE is of poor quality, so to take this processor further, we must practice delidy, but be careful, if we have the knowledge to do it, because if we break the processor, there is no warranty.
There is much talk of the K Series, but apparently some have received the Core i5 8400 processor, which would be a real brown beast, possibly the new Pentium G4560 from the Kaby Lake family. This i5 8400 processor will apparently deliver unprecedented performance. This six-core processor has no HyperThreading and will work at a maximum frequency of 4GHz in Boost mode. Apparently this processor will be priced at about € 200, perhaps a little less, which could cause this Core i5 8400 to break the market and become a highly demanded processor.

Hello friends, I wanted to ask you a question, an i3 7100 8gb ram gtx 1050ti, would it be enough to run games like player unkonwn overwatch etc?… In a few days it will be my brother's birthday and since I am the oldest I want to give him a good gift, but Of course I don't have money for a 7700k or 1080 xd, (I also have an msi h110 board at home and power supplies… ..) Could my brother play decently with that pc? , thanks.
I do not know if I run it, the safest thing is that it does, but for budget I would be better off for a ryzen 1200 and a cheap b350, they are 4 physical cores that will have more future than 4 logic of the i3
Didn't you find out that the 3th generation i4s have XNUMX cores?
The eighth yes, Read the comment I answered he said a 7100 bone of 7th
