Part of the manual of ASUS motherboards for AMD Ryzen 2 processors leaks

Leaked part of the ASUS motherboard manuals for AMD Ryzen 2 processors, showing some of the main features of these motherboards and that the new Ryzen support memory with higher frequencies.

Soon the AMD Ryzen 2 processors will arrive, which are based on the 12nm manufacturing process, something that will allow these processors to have higher frequencies, adjust consumption and improve, of course, performance. These new processors will arrive with new motherboards and a new chipset, although they will be compatible with current motherboards and chipsets, with a simple update. The latest has been the leak of part of the manuals of various ASUS motherboards, for these new processors.

ASUS will initially launch five high-end models, such as the PRIME X470-PRO, TUF X470-PLUS Gaming, RoG STRIX X470-F Gaming, RoG STRIX X470-I Gaming and RoG Crosshair VII Hero WiFi. A user of the HardwareLuxx forums, who goes by the name 'emissary42', has posted manuals for the PRIME, TUF and STRIX motherboards.

If we look at the images, where the connectors of the PRIME X470 PRO and STRIX X470-F motherboard appear, the difference between both motherboards is minimal or null, they only differ in the status LEDs of these motherboards. The TUF X470 PLIS differs from the other two, very little, in the number of SATA 6.0Gbps ports and in that it lacks one of the three PCIe x1 ports.

The characteristics confirm that the Ryzen 2 are different in terms of memory support. As already exposed by SiSoftware, the Zen +, support faster memories, which should provide better compatibility with faster memory kits. According to the ASUS document, the Ryzen 2 support memory up to 3466MHz, while the Ryzen and Ryzen APUs with Vega graphics only support memory up to 3200MHz.
