Filtered the prices of AMD Ryzen processors for Spain and possibly Europe, but only for the three most powerful processors of the new AMD family.
One of the few pieces of information missing about AMD Ryzen was the price of the processors themselves. We already know more or less what they will be all processors that AMD plans to launch on the market, and today a Spanish media, specifically ElChapuzasComputer has revealed the price of some Ryzen processors that will go on sale on February 28. The price is apparently with taxes from Spain, so in Europe the price would vary according to the taxes with which the products are recorded.
The top of the range, the AMD R7 1800X (it seems that in the end they will not be SR, short for Summit Ridge, but R, short for Ryzen), with eight cores and sixteen threads, with a frequency of 4GHz, will cost € 599.99. It should be borne in mind that this processor, according to information, can exceed the Intel i7 6900K, which costs approximately € 1200. We will see when the first benchmarks appear in the media, if it complies.
Next we would have the AMD R7 1700X, which has eight cores and sixteen threads with a frequency of 3.8GHz. Both this processor and the 1800X would be more focused on professional environments, which require great power, such as graphics and video editing or servers. This processor is priced at € 469.99. It is a high price, but as always you have to compare it with Intel solutions.
As a processor directly designed for gaming, we have the R7 1700, which will be the top of the range for video game processors. This has eight cores and sixteen threads under a frequency of 3.7GHz and highlights the TDP, which is only 65W, with which AMD would have optimally solved the consumption and temperature problems of the previous processors. It has a price of € 389.95 and in tortearía has to compete with the i7 7700K.
It is still necessary to know the price of the mid-range and entry, the R5 and the R3, of which prices have not been revealed. For top-of-the-range processors, the price is not crazy. Now it only remains to see if the performance, consumption and temperature factors are as good as they point and if this forecast is fulfilled, Intel has a problem on its hands.
Amd if it really fulfills as they say to surpass intel it will be a new beginning the era of AMD
Intel will lower prices if Ryzen is the ostia on the scooter that it claims to be ... Good news for those of us who still don't have a PC since, as AMD is so superior to Intel, I hope they almost give me an i7 that seems to have stayed in shit ...
