Controversy in the latest benchmark leak on AMD Ryzen processors, is it manipulated against AMD to favor Intel or are some just looking to create controversy where there is none?
The recent release of new performance data from an AMD Ryzen processor identified as ZD3406BAM88F4_38 / 34_Y, which has been identified as the AMD Ryzen R7 1700X, based on the base operating frequency, which is 3.4GHz. This processor, as seen in the screenshot that we leave you after the jump, works at this frequency and has eight cores. The motherboard used for this processor is the MSI A320M PRO-VD, a simple board but enough to move this processor.
Controversy has arisen due to a lack of understanding and simply the desire to stir up drama and create drama where there is none. We will explain all the points clearly, starting with the motherboard. We don't know if VideocardZ has other motherboards compatible with this processor, but the MSI A320M PRO-VD uses the AMD A320 chipset, which supports this processor but does not allow overclocking. The lack of overclocking support does not mean the processor cannot use Boost mode; it can, as long as it is not disabled.
One of the problems is that the motherboard may not be the final retail version, and the BIOS, as you can see, sets the multiplier and bus speed parameters to (N/A). Since the BIOS doesn't support or recognize this data, it doesn't reflect it in the software, which is irrelevant. It's impossible to confirm or deny that Boost mode is disabled on the AMD processor because it's not reflected. What we do see is that the i7 6800K processor is running at its stock frequency, and this can be easily verified in the Intel ARK system.
Another point of contention is the amount of RAM, as the Intel processor has 32GB installed while the AMD processor only has 16GB. It's worth noting that the motherboard only has two RAM slots. Perhaps this aspect should have been taken into account, although it's true that the benchmarks performed on the Intel processor may be from archived data, and at that time 32GB of RAM was installed, or they may have tried to utilize Intel's Quad Channel, while the AMD only supports Dual Channel.
Whether or not it can handle one processor or another is relative, because if it does not exceed a certain processor in performance, but if that processor is worth three times more, the logical option is to buy the AMD Ryzen instead of the Intel processor. I think we agree on this. If we say that the AMD Ryzen R7 1700X gives us 100 points in a benchmark and the Intel i7 6800K gives us 105 points in another benchmark, the performance difference is minimal, so we will choose by price. If the AMD processor is worth a third of what the Intel costs ... white and bottled, milk.
Now, we want to clarify that the leaked benchmarks all have the reference frequency of the processor in question, so we understand that some have chosen to mount a campaign, where AMD is the victim and everyone goes against AMD and sides. from Intel. Accusing a prestigious media like VideocardZ of manipulating information without showing evidence seems regrettable to the HardwareSfera team and in the end, whoever is portrayed is the media that lies and accuses without evidence. Some have lost objectivity for the simple fact of wanting everything and seeking to please their companies, or perhaps they lack knowledge when interpreting graphs. What is your opinion?

But if the scores of the processes in those photos are up! Except for 6950x, which if you look at the list on the passmark page you can check it yourself.
In addition, the 6800K with turbo at 3.8GHz gives 2042 points, compared to the 2046 that the Ryzen has listed, supposedly at 3.4 without the XFR (we don't know if it has it or not. The logical thing would be to do the benchmark without this functionality taking into account that it depends on the cooling of the equipment, but we really don't know), and we don't know anything about the "turbocore" either.
If we take for granted that in a single-wire process the ryzen has reached 3.8GHz, we already have the proof that it has the same ipc as Broadwell-E

They can not be so suck socks of VideocardZm I had it that they respected each other not that they defend themselves
Capable Intel made a donation to VideocardZ

IN VES ???
MISTAKE!!!
