In recent years we have been able to see several old consoles back on the market, with the tagline of mini, now it is the turn of the Sega Mega Drive
The release of the Sega Mega Drive Mini was planned for the month of September. Now, SEGA has announced that the console has suffered a delay in our market, the European one. It will arrive at the beginning of October, on the 4th. This delay is due to logistical problems, it is not at all worrying. On the other hand, the mini console will arrive with a catalog of 42 games, chosen by vote by the community itself, and will come with 2 controllers, a USB cable and an HDMI cable. All this at a price of 76,99 euros.
As with the original console, SEGA will launch the versions that appeared in both America and Europe, that is, in America the SEGA Genesis Mini will arrive and in Europe it will be the SEGA Mega Drive Mini. In addition, they will be exactly the same inside and will include the same games, the differences will only be in the design of the console and controls. The console is 55% smaller than the original.
The delay is nothing serious and we will be able to enjoy it shortly
“We are committed to a successful launch for consumers in all territories, and this step will ensure we can meet demand and fulfil all individual pre-orders and retail orders in Europe and the Middle East at the same time,” said a SEGA spokesperson.
“Customers in those regions can still pre-order, and those who have already pre-ordered will only have to wait an additional two weeks for their little box full of retro magic to arrive.”
