SEGA wants to bring classic franchises to life for PC, console and smartphone

SEGA wants to study bringing back to life classic franchises that gave them such good results in the past, but this time the idea is for them to be multiplatform and not only for console or PC, but also for smartphone.

The mythical developer SEGA could return and could do it for everything great and it seems that the company is currently working on resuscitating its mythical franchises, those that gave so many hours of vice to humanity. Currently all of SEGA's classic franchises are inactive, but the company would be thinking of resurrecting its most popular titles, the best-selling titles of its time, and bringing them back to life for multiple platforms. Until now the only solution was to have emulators, such as the SEGA Mega Drive & Genesis Classic, which can be found on Steam.

We should not be under any illusions about seeing them in the short term, since SEGA would be developing a calendar for these and they would not reach the market until at least 2020, so they are not short-term launches. We must emphasize that the company has no interest in paralyzing its current franchises or developing new franchises or projects, they would simply be parallel projects. The return of the classic franchises will be both physically and digitally, so that everyone who wants it can be done with the titles in the format they prefer.

SEGA has already announced that they will first select very carefully the titles they are going to revitalize. According to the company, they intend for the moment to continue with the impact that their current franchises have and obtain greater repercussion by bringing classic franchises back to life, after a long time. It should be noted that this is only a draft and that it is all in an initial phase, since in future meetings they will analyze which are the franchises that should come back to life and how, in addition to that these are for the future, since this calendar would be already for 2020, because they would already have the planning until that year closed.
