Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has sold almost 4 million copies

Sekiro shows that games without multiplayer and without DLCs can sell a considerable number of units. From Software is already a brand that sells under its own name.

Sales numbers, that figure that tells us if a game has been a huge success and has liked the producer or if it has only sold well and therefore has not reached the expected sales figures. Now it's your turn to pass the test to Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and see its sales since the end of March.

Well, it turns out that Sekiro has sold very well in four months

A recent data published by Kadokawa has revealed that Sekiro almost reaches the milestone of four million units sold. In total, 3,8 million distributed to stores and sold on digital stores such as Steam.

If we take into account what kind of game is the work of From Software, it is almost unheard of that a title without an online multiplayer mode has sold so much in the eyes of a distributor such as Activision itself. It will not generate a continuous and high flow of money for each unit sold but it is a lower investment than a Call of Duty with its spectacular cinematographic campaign and its investment in servers for the online mode.

Sekiro entered the best-selling game lists since its launch. Of course it helps a lot that it's a From Software game, known for making Dark Souls and Bloodborne. They showed that more demanding and less spectacular games can sell well if a company doesn't expect to sell ten million. Because for a work of the size of this title, almost four million are very good sales and with almost total certainty they have recovered the investment.
