The Senate of Spain urges the Government of Spain to regulate cryptocurrencies
Today has been debated in the Senate of Spain, a motion to urge the Government of Spain, a regulation of cryptocurrencies, to 'protect savers.'
The regulation of cryptocurrencies is beginning to spread internationally, because it is a very succulent market for countries, since they can bite based on taxes. If it is done as in South Korea, without blocking or restricting movements, only identifying users who operate with cryptocurrencies, there is no problem, problems can come when they want to ban them, since it is like trying to put doors to the internet, a stupidity. Spain today has debated in the Senate (that institution with limited utility), to urge the Government of Spain to "protect savers."
(VIDEO OF THE SESSION)
Regulating it is not negative, as long as it is done well and well, paying taxes is not something extremely negative, since if they are used correctly, they can be used for education and not to finance corruption, which is very present in the country. The most curious thing about all this is the phrase of 'protecting savers', when the people who have been scammed with the preferred ones have been abandoned, the Bankia pufo, the rescue of the state financial system with everyone's money, from which nothing will be recovered and many other suckers.
The problem we see is that the government and members adjacent to the government, when they have talked about cryptocurrencies, have always thrown down the street that they are used to evade taxes, launder money, drug and arms trafficking and to commit crimes, in general. This type of comment is not very far from the line of when the internet began to expand or now, that people are persecuted on Twitter for putting tweets, which may or may not be good or be politically correct or incorrect. A lot of free time?
Let's hope that South Korea's footsteps will be followed and not China's. Europe already has an interest in regulating cryptocurrencies, although they are not considered fiat money, simply a good that has a value, being considered a kind of safe haven value similar to gold. Cryptocurrencies will not go away, no matter how illegal they are and decentralized exchanges are already being developed, such as Loopring and cryptocurrencies and the blockchain are a revolution that has come to stay, whether some want it or not.
Thanks for the detail of the video 😉
