SK Hynix launches densest DRAM 8 chip
SK Hynix showcases the highest density 8GB DDR4 RAM chip designed for smartphones
SK Hynix is the second chip manufacturer in South Korea only behind Samsung and yesterday it surprised us with the new 8GB chip of more dense LPDDR4X DRAM memory that exists in the entire market, from this it has been rumored that the best mobiles in the world This 2017 market like the Samsung Galaxy S8 or the new Iphone could mount it. The main ones that this chip supposes due to its very high density is that it has a fairly low consumption and that it doubles the data processing speed.

The South Korean company explains the manufacturing process of this chip concisely, they have used four 16 Gb (Gigabit) chips per dual channel to obtain a single 8GB package (Gygabite) that consumes 20% less than common LPDDR4 modules As added data, they have also explained that the data input and output can operate at 0,6 V while the common is 1,1V. Obviously, being a denser chip, its size has decreased, becoming 30% smaller than common DDR4s and less than 1 millimeter thick.
As a sneak peak of what they are going to do in the future as a company, SK Hynix has commented that it has plans to expand the use of its DRAM chips in high-end laptops, the automotive market and other mobile accessories. All these statements are up in the air right now as they are hypothetical plans that the company has in mind but they have not confirmed anything and the only thing we can be sure of is everything we have talked about regarding the new LDDR4X chip.
