Android will stop having dessert names

The next version of the operating system will simply be called Android 10. Android Q will finally not have a dessert name as has been the tradition since the beginning of the operating system.

This is perhaps a bit strange news, but those of us who have followed Android every year had a tradition of trying to guess the name of the version of the operating system, always with a dessert or sweet name and always with someone from India trying to use it. a dessert of the country due to the large number of users it has.

Finally we did not get to complete the complete alphabet and from now on the Android versions will only have a simple number, leaving aside all the fun that these names brought with them that showed the fun and sweet side of the developers. There were a few attempts to give Android Q a name, but in the end there will simply be Android 10, absolutely nothing else.

The reason they give is that with so many names it is difficult for some to know the order because not everyone knows the game of names that it has, in addition to the fact that cakes are not considered cakes in all countries of the world (there are salty cakes) and marshmallows they are not popular outside the United States.

No dessert names but with a new design

Another tradition that finally goes away is the end of the GooglePles statues, in which for each new version a new statue was installed on GooglePles that was always a sight to see.

Along with this change in nomenclature we have a new Android logo, which follows the current trend of flatter colors, as you already use Google Play and that you can see as the heading of this article. The colors are more saturated and vibrant at the same time, with a lot of simplicity and nothing to distract from saying that we are talking about the largest mobile operating system in the world.
