Apple Music has been slowly and surprisingly adding features to its Android app, including Android Auto support and more. Now, in its latest stable update, the app adds Chromecast compatibility and more. It's clear they 're trying to make money from people who don't buy iPhones.
Aple Music for Android has been testing Chromecast in beta for the past few weeks, though few have actually tested it. Along with that, Apple has also been testing a dark mode for the app that respects the Android 10 system change, as well as time-synced lyrics and radio stations. This will be very helpful for those who want not to deal with so much target throughout the system.
Apple gives news outside of iOS, surprisingly
Chromecast support is obviously the highlight for many Apple Music users. Like many other apps that support the standard, the button for Chromecast is located in the top bar of the app alongside the search button. When music is actively playing, the Chromecast icon is visible on the “Now Playing” screen. Technically, Chromecast support also means that you can listen to Apple Music on a Google Home speaker, too.
This latest stable update of Apple Music offers these features to all users, so there is no need to enter beta programs. This is especially good news since the Apple Music beta program on Android hasn't been accepting new users in recent days. Apple has also updated its support pages with these changes as well. This service is getting better and better for Android users and is competing strongly with Spotify.
