Published the specifications of the ASUS RoG Phone II, the high-end terminal designed for those who like to play on a smartphone.
The smartphone market is in a state of stagnation, if not recession. Despite this, it is a highly lucrative market and brands know it. For this reason ASUS has updated its gaming smartphone, the RoG Phone II. The first prominent aspect of this terminal is that it measures 170.99 × 77.6 × 9.48mm and has a weight of 240 grams. It has a 6.59-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2 340 x 1 080 pixels.
Much interest has been put into offering a high quality display. It has a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz sampling, to offer great fluidity. Notch or central point for the camera has not been chosen, it has a frame. The screen is flanked by two high-quality stereo speakers. It has a fingerprint detector integrated in the lower part of the screen.
ASUS announces its new RoG Phone II smartphone
The power is put by the Snapdragon 855+ processor. This SoC is a version equal to the Snapdragon 855 but with a frequency improvement of 15%. It has 12GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.0 storage, which can reach up to 512GB.
It has a 6mAh battery. For recharging, it has a USB Type-C connector with 000W fast charge. This allows the device to recharge 30mAh in just 4 minutes. It is complemented by three photography sensors. The main one is 000Mpx, another one is 58Mpx with an angle of 48º and a third one is 13Mpx. For the front a 125Mpx camera has been installed.
This terminal will have a large number of accessories, as happened with the original model. It will have the TwinView Dock II that will allow it to be turned into a kind of portable console with two screens. It will also have the AeroActive Cooler II, a fan to improve cooling while we are playing.
A RoG Kunai controller has also been created, two Joy Con joysticks like the Nintendo Switch. It has several docks, such as the Mobile Desktop, to leave it on and connect the keyboard, mouse and network cable. Finally we have the Pro Dock that has USB Type-A, HDMI and other connectors.
ASUS will launch the RoG Phone II on July 23 in China. Pricing or availability in Europe has not been disclosed. The original RoG Phone had 899 euros, so it is possible that it is much more expensive for its specifications.
