Energizer has not sold any of its 18.000mAh smartphones (and it seems difficult to get it)
Initiated by Energizer one for the Energizer Power Max P18K Pop terminal, a smartphone brick that has a 18.000mAh battery.
During Mobile World Congress 2019, we saw many devices, including the Energizer Power Max P18K Pop. This phone is notable for its 18.000mAh battery and its bulky size. We're talking about a device that's 22mm thick (though it's larger), making it rather impractical. It's also worth noting that we handled the phone and found it very heavy, although its exact weight is unknown. The company is offering it on Indiegogo , and so far none have been sold, nor does it look like many will be.
Energizer puts its brick on Indiegogo and sells none
About this terminal we must say that it has a 6.2-inch FullHD + 2280x1080p IPS panel. It has a MediaTek Helios P70 SoC, 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It has a triple rear camera of 12 + 5 + 2Mpx and a double front camera of 16 + 2Mpx. Additionally, the terminal has 4G LTE connectivity. As we can see, the features are quite mundane and the only difference from a common terminal is the 18.000mAh battery and its size.
Those interested can buy it for $ 549 (almost € 500) on sale plus shipping. When these first 200 units are finished, it can be purchased for $ 599 (about € 530) plus shipping costs. But it is also that the final product will cost $ 699 (about € 615). We can also buy a pack of two or three terminals, if we like. Some terminals that will begin to be distributed in October 2019.
The reality is that the terminal does not make the slightest sense. For hardware the terminal could cost about 300-400 euros and it would be an acceptable price and then already add an external battery in the pack. But in this way an absurdly large, expensive, heavy and not very functional terminal is sold. It doesn't look like it's going to be successful.
