The United States denounces Huawei for theft of technological secrets

Huawei is facing prosecution by the United States for a case of potential theft of technologies from its competitors, specifically the US operator T-Mobile.

According to sources inform the Wall Street Journal, the federal government of the United States makes movements against the Chinese company Huawei. The prosecutor accuses him of stealing secrets from other companies in the sector. Specifically, it would be a tool from the T-Mobile operator, which would have seen its Tappy software stolen, a tool to set up mobile phones for its internal company tests.

Already in 2014 T-Mobile sued Huawei for the theft of this tool, allegedly having seen Huawei spies in a company's Seattle lab taking photos of the software and associated robotic parts. In this case, they gave T-Mobile $ 4.8 million, a fraction of the $ 500 million they initially asked for. But despite having this sentence, it has been derived to this case in which the case can reach federal crimes.

Huawei remains accused of business technology theft

We had already talked about a process of espionage by Huawei. In this case, it is a process with a little more time, but it does not neglect that it puts it more in the spotlight for future hiring in Western countries, although many other countries do nothing about it despite the accusations.

In fact, Huawei remains among the largest providers of mobile infrastructure worldwide and as one of the largest mobile manufacturers in the world, remaining only behind the giant that is Samsung and ahead of another giant, Apple. It remains to be seen how this lawsuit translates into criminal proceedings, since in this criminal procedure there are possible penalties of jail at a personal level.
