Google Play brings its new Material Design to the world

All Google Play users already have the new version with the Material Design design. After several weeks intermittently due to bugs, they have already confirmed the stable version.

Android users have been experimenting with the constant changes of Google Play for a few weeks due to the design changes that are happening in the application store. For a while you may have had the new Material Design for a while and then go back to the old greenish design.

The problem is that since then Google has been putting the design intermittently to various users to test its work. But the results have not been entirely positive, so it has had to be withdrawn until finally today the design reaches everyone equally. It may take a while to arrive but that depends more on the server to which we are associated.

New design for the app store

The new Material Design removes the green that identified Google Play, with a design where white predominates with blue details in selected areas. In turn we get a very clean design with fewer distractions, although clarity can be a bit subjective.

Now we have a bottom bar with quick access to Google Play applications, games, movies and books. The functionality does not change much, but it does unify the Android design globally in one of the points that still remained. Even so, the dark mode is not seen, so to activate it, we will surely have to wait for Android Q, the next version of Android that is expected to come out in October, having to wait for the manufacturer of our mobile or tablet to confirm if it will arrive the update.
