Huawei registers the name Harmony for its smartphone operating system

Registered by Huawei in Europe the name Harmony for its smartphone operating system, which would hit the market in the fall.

After US blockade of Huawei company, the Chinese company continues with its plans to stop depending on American companies. It seems that the company continues to work on its operating system, to stop using Android. The names that are handled for this new operating system are Hongmeng OS and Ark Os. But now a new name is being postulated for the operating system.

Huawei before the European Union Intellectual Property Office has registered the Harmony name for its operating system for smartphones and PCs. This request was submitted on July 12 and is currently under review. It was initially leaked as Hongmeng OS for the Chinese market and Ark OS for the Western market.

Registered a new name for Huawei operating system

The company, apparently, had been working on its operating system for quite some time. Before the American block to the Chinese company, which prevented the use of Android, the thing has accelerated. Android is owned by Google, which is American. About the Huawei operating system there is not much data, it is kept quite secret.

Supposedly the company would already be testing a million terminals with this new operating system. From Huawei they have already said that it will hit the market this coming fall. It is unknown if the company will only implement it in new terminals or offer the possibility of using it in terminals that are already on the market. In addition, this new Huawei operating system will be even faster than Android.

Huawei continues with the development of its own operating system, thinking about possible crashes in the future. We must emphasize that although the general veto has been lifted, there is still a veto point for the Chinese company. You will be able to work with US companies, but you will not be able to deploy your products for 5G networks. So the veto has been lifted, but not in its entirety.
