Huawei surpasses Samsung as the company that sells the most smartphones

The United States is putting pressure on everyone to avoid working with Huawei. The excuse they make is that the Chinese company carries out espionage through 5G networks, something not proven. Despite all the obstacles and all the problems, Huawei surpassed Samsung as the biggest smartphone seller. Without a doubt, the Chinese company has achieved something that seemed impossible and more at the moment.

The analysis firm Canalys indicates that for the first time it would have managed to surpass the South Korean company. Huawei, indirectly, is receiving help from Samsung, which is far from being that leading smartphone company. The graph even shows how since 2019, the South Korean company has been bleeding in its veins.

Huawei overtakes Samsung in the smartphone market

These figures have a bit of a trick. 72% of the company's sales are in China, while 28% are in the rest of the world. With pressure from the United States, the Chinese opt for the homeland brand, abandoning Apple terminals. Along with this Samsung has suffered a drop in sales of 30%, a figure that is truly spectacular.

Curiously, the one who is suffering the most from the US veto, at least in China, is being Apple. The company is collapsing in sales, in all kinds of products. The attack by the United States directly impacts Apple with a decline in sales. We are talking about one of the main markets in the world and in Cupertino they are quite concerned.

The data shows that after the veto, Huawei's sales around the world have fallen, at the same time that they rose in China. One of the effects is that the Huawei P40 Pro does not have the official Google application store. The American veto has a strong impact on the Chinese company, which is also looking for someone to manufacture its SoCs. TSMC has said that on December 14 it will stop serving them processors, thus adding new problems to the Chinese company.
