iPhone 13 might not have any physical connection ports

Prominent Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has a new round of rumors predicting the next two years for Apple iPhones, with the iPhone 13 among them. There is a new noteworthy detail, and that is that Apple's flagship iPhone for 2021 will supposedly kill the Lightning port. The mobile, which would be the iPhone 13, will depend on a completely wireless experience to upload and synchronize files.

The change would be significant for Apple, which has relied on the Lightning port for all its phones since it was first introduced on the iPhone 5 in 2013. And while modern iPhones certainly depend less on physical data syncing, a completely wireless model would have major ramifications across the tech industry. Thanks to Apple removing the headphone jack, wireless headphones have become increasingly popular . Obviously, we're still a long way from 2021—the 2020 iPhones aren't here yet—but Kuo has a good track record of predicting Apple's plans, meaning it's quite possible that this is the future of the iPhone 13.

iPhone 13 without connection ports

Additionally, Kuo's note goes into more detail on what to expect from Apple's 2020 lineup, which he claims will feature five new phones under the iPhone 13 family. First off, the iPhone SE 2 is rumored, which Kuo says will have a 4.7-inch LCD screen and a form factor almost identical to the iPhone 8.

The fall line of iPhones is where things get a little weirder. Kuo's note says that Apple is planning four OLED iPhones, all of which will have 5G. Similar to this year's phones, it is reported that there will be a high-end triple camera model that will come in two sizes: a 6.1-inch model and a 6.7-inch model. Presumably these two are replacements for the existing iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max.

There's also a lower-end dual camera model, similar to the standard iPhone 11. But unlike the current lineup, that dual camera model will also come in two sizes. According to Kuo, the new model will feature a 6.1-inch size, similar to the current iPhone 11, but will also come in a smaller 5.4-inch size. This will be the predecessor to the rumored iPhone 13 without ports.
