Android 10 statue comes to GooglePlex

The tradition is fulfilled and the statue of Android 10 arrives at the Google facilities. It is the first that does not have a name and is a pair of numbers with some decorations.

Statues in Mountain View are a tradition, with each new Android a statue was erected on Google campuses. It is a tradition that had become obsolete in recent years, and the statue for this year has a very different starting idea sin a dessert name to refer to. This year's statue is a 10 with the so-called bugdroid at zero, with the letters in matte white and the Android head in the new green that is more intense but at the same time paler.

The simple style of the statue may seem boring at first, but the white statue is actually a canvas for all the people who worked on Android 10 to have a chance to sign, put their names, and take pride in the finished product. They can thus leave a message for posterity.

The statue arrives at the Google campus

The truth is that it is a very striking idea based on the fact that they have wanted to make many changes. It is like a school yearbook, as seen in many movies and series, that will be located on the Google campus for everyone to see and understand the equipment necessary to create an operating system. The big question is how they will prevent people from signing and smudging it, but you may have people watching, and Google employees are rarely the kind to consciously destroy public furniture.

The piece was unveiled today at Google's Mountain View campus with little celebration and we will slowly see the number of signatures growing on it as more members of the Android developer team take their time signing.
