OnePlus confirms updates to Android 10 of its mobiles

OnePlus has confirmed the dates of the mobiles that will end up receiving Android 10. Some models are already receiving it, but models like the OnePlus 6 may take time to arrive.

OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro, which will be unveiled today, will be the company's first phones to arrive with Android 10 pre-installed. The Chinese manufacturer is working to make the latest version of Android available for other phones. Today its co-founder and CEO, Pete Lau, confirmed the Android 10 release schedule for series 6 and 5 of its smartphones in China.

Android 10 is now available for the OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro in some regions like India. The update was based on OnePlus' OxygenOS custom ROM. For OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro users in China, the company released the public beta of Android 10 based on HydrogenOS on September 13. The stable version will be launched in mid-November in the country.

An update is already on the horizon

Older phone users have been eagerly waiting to know when their devices will be treated with the latest edition of Android 10. Lau has revealed that the public beta of Android 10 for OnePlus 6 and 6T users in China will be available at the end of October. . The official version coming to series 6 at the end of November.

The official version of Android 10 will come to OnePlus 5 and 5T users for the second quarter of 2020 in China. The OxygenOS versions are known to arrive shortly after the release of the HydrogenOS versions. However, there is still no official confirmation of the OxygenOS-based Android 10 updates for the 6, 6T, 5 and 5T models.

HydrogenOS versions do not have Google Play services. On the other hand, the OxygenOS editions that are available outside of China are equipped with Google apps. By launching the 7T and 7T Pro phones today, OnePlus will become the first manufacturer to launch an Android 10 operating system phone alongside Google apps, all standard. The recently introduced Huawei Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro are also preloaded with Android 10, but do not feature Google apps mainly due to the trade ban imposed by the US.
