Qualcomm and BT Group open their R&D facilities for 5G technology

Qualcomm Technologies International, Ltd., and BT Group today announced their continued collaboration with the recent opening of its 5G technology development laboratory facilities. These labs are located at the Qualcomm Technologies office in Farnborough, United Kingdom.

The facilities include 5G test labs with BT Group's live environment installed, providing a platform for Qualcomm Technologies and BT Group to continue testing and validating new advanced 5G technologies. They are expected that, being BT Group, which manages the EE mobile network in the United Kingdom; that help faster deployment and commercialization of next-generation 5G functions and services in the territory and that can export it to more places.

This union between the two firms shows the continuous collaboration in technology between the two companies that has been going on for over a decade. From the early days of 4G, to the development of 5G, this collaboration has grown in strength, and is reflected in these new labs to improve high-speed mobile communication technology that is making our world much more connected.
