Qualcomm processors would have more than 400 vulnerabilities
We have seen in recent years how vulnerabilities in Intel processors have accumulated. That does not mean that the rest of chip manufacturers, such as AMD or ARM accumulate some other vulnerability. We add Qualcomm to the list, which has the DSP (Digital Signal Processing) vulnerability. This makes millions of smartphones susceptible to being attacked.
Those who have detected the vulnerability have been the security firm Check Point. But the most impressive thing about all this is that they have found no less than 400 vulnerabilities. Some of these vulnerabilities allow listening to audio in real time, monitoring locations and even filtering photos and videos that are stored in the terminal.

It is true that Intel has a large string of vulnerabilities, but Qualcomm has many more security holes. The good thing about Intel's vulnerabilities is that the vast majority of them cannot be exploited remotely. We imagine that you will not give permission to a cracker to enter your house and violate your PC and enter a Data Center is not viable.
The thing is, Qualcomm vulnerabilities can be exploited by simply downloading a video or other content that goes through the chip with the DSP vulnerability. An attack can also be carried out if we install a malicious application that does not need additional permissions.
Obviously, Qualcomm has gone to work at full speed to offer solutions to the problem. They highlight that they have already offered mitigations to their partners and should be available in future software updates.
It stands out from Qualcomm that they have no evidence that the vulnerabilities have been exploited. They recommend only installing apps from trusted stores, like the Play Store. Even so, we are facing a very serious problem that affects millions of terminals.
