India is currently facing a massive resurgence of Covid-19 cases and as a result Realme will postpone the next launches. They had planned to launch the Realme X7 Max 5G and a Smart TV and home automation accessories.
Realme CEO Madhav Sheth announced this change of plans on his Twitter account. He said that “we need to focus on contributing as much as possible, staying home, and staying strong.” He said that this is a delay until the pandemic situation improves in the country.
Realme, quite affected by Covid-19
Sheth posted a few days ago that Realme is distributing 100 masks for the Covid relief effort. It distributed them through its Realme Smart Stores and Realme Experience Stores for nursing homes and orphanages.
As for the Realme X7 Max mobile, the first Indian phone with the Dimensity 1200 chipset; It is expected to come with a 6,43-inch Full HD + Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 360Hz touch response rate. It also has 100% DCI-P3 coverage and HDR10 + support and an in-display fingerprint scanner under the panel. Its 4.500 mAh battery is backed by a 50W Super Dart charge that takes less than an hour to charge the device from zero to full.
The device is only 179 grams in weight and 8,4 mm thick, it will come with a 64MP f / 1.8 main camera (Sony IMX682), an 8MP ultra-wide lens with a 119-degree field of view and a macro shooter of 2MP. The front camera for selfies will have a 16MP sensor. Other features of the Realme X7 Max include a 3,5mm headphone jack, dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, Wi-Fi 6, high resolution certification, and Realme UI 2.0 out of the box.
It will be available in two configurations, with 8GB of RAM with 128GB of storage and 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. This new flagship has been delayed by the problems of the Covid-19 pandemic in India, one of the most affected countries today. Along with this, their plans to enter the home automation and Smart TV sector have been challenged.
