Australia has launched an investigation into possible fraudulent advertising of Samsung's underwater smartphones.
Users are increasingly demanding more from smartphones , seeking differentiating features that offer extra benefits. Samsung is one of the leading brands in the market and has a large number of water-resistant devices. Despite this, the company in Australia seems to be experiencing significant difficulties in this area. The problem lies in the fact that the company's advertising is unconvincing, as it is quite far removed from reality.
The problem is so serious and there are so many complaints that even the Australian Consumer and Competition Commission investigates it. Specifically, the ads show how certain terminals can be used underwater. The problem is that users report problems when they try to imitate Samsung's ads.
Samsung in trouble for its waterproof terminals
Specifically, the Commission is investigating no less than 300 Samsung advertisements. The South Korean company is accused of providing false or information that does not correspond to reality. Mainly the complaints come from its use in the sea or in swimming pools. Although the ads show images using the terminals in these locations, the reality is that they do not work properly.
