Sony could present a smartphone with a 4K screen and the Snapdragon 835
Sony could present at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona the company's first smartphone with a 4K screen and that would have Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 support.
The Mobile World Congress in Barcelona that will be held in a few weeks is already leaving us the first interesting information about products that will be seen there. Today we have learned that the Sony company would have ready a smartphone quite different from what we are used to. According to the information, Sony would have a smartphone with a 4K screen ready, moved thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, which it houses inside.
Sony has not given truth to this information, as is normal, but has said that it will be at the Mobile World Congress, where according to information the company would present between two and four new smartphones. One of these new terminals will be the Sony 'Yoshino', which among other features has a 5.5-inch screen with 4K resolution and powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor.
It is not the first Sony terminal that has had or is about to have 4K screens. It was in 2015 when Sony launched the Xperia Z5 Premium, but in the end it failed to live up to expectations. The screen was not purely 4K, it was a screen that according to the moment supported 4K and according to the moment it supported FullHD, depending on the application used and the load it generated on the processor.
About the Qualcomm processor we must say that there are two versions, one resistant to water and the other apparently not. According to rumors the Snapdragon 835s, which resists water, is exclusively for Samsung, at least for now and according to the rumor. Leaving aside this rumor, the fact that Sony has a terminal with a 4K screen could make the competition very nervous, including Samsung, since there are not many terminals that have this type of screen.
