AMD Radeon Adrenalin 20.4.1 Beta for Resident Evil 3

Launched the new AMD Radeon Adrenalin 20.4.1 Beta drivers which have been optimized for the Resident Evil 3 game. These new drivers are specially designed to offer the best possible performance in Resident Evil. Additionally these new drivers feature a large amount of bug fixes. A list of known issues is also added.

Problems solved

  • Overwatch and Heroes of the Storm may experience a black screen or application hang while playing games for long periods of time on some system configurations of Radeon RX Vega series graphics products.
  • HDR may fail to enable or be detected in applications and games using the API Vulkan.
  • Doom Eternal may fail to start on some hybrid graphics setups.
  • Radeon ReLive streaming may fail to start or hang when starting a streaming session with performance metric overlay enabled.
  • Some clock values ​​may not be populated for a limited number of graphics products in the hardware information tab of the Radeon configuration.
  • Hotkeys can no longer be assigned to a single digit or character, as this has the ability to block or cause interference with some default Windows functions.
  • Some Radeon FreeSync Premium compatible displays may not list all supported refresh rate options in Windows when Radeon FreeSync Premium is enabled in the displays' OSD settings.

Known issues

  • Enhanced sync may cause a black screen to appear when enabled in some games and system settings. Any user who may have problems with Enhanced Sync enabled should disable it as a workaround.
  • Running Folding @ Home while an application that uses video content hardware acceleration is running may cause a system crash or black screen. One possible solution is to disable hardware acceleration for the application that has it enabled.
  • Using the Edge web browser to play video content with a multi-screen system configuration may cause the system to hang or hang after long periods of use.
  • The Performance Metric Overlay and Radeon WattMan incorrectly report idle clock speeds higher than expected on Radeon RX 5700 series graphics products. Performance and power consumption are not affected by this incorrect report.
  • Modifying the HDMI Scaling slider can cause the FPS to hang at 30.
  • Some games may exhibit intermittent stuttering during gameplay on Radeon RX 5000 series graphics products.
  • Corruption on desktop or in game can occur intermittently when HDR is enabled.
  • Radeon RX Vega series graphics products may experience a system hang or TDR when playing games with Instant Replay enabled. One possible solution for users experiencing these issues is to disable instant playback.
  • Radeon RX Vega series graphics products may experience a system hang or TDR when multitasking changes using Alt + Tab.
  • You may experience a system crash or crash when using the Edge browser to play Netflix content.
  • Some users may still experience black screen or system hang issues during prolonged periods of gaming. AMD will continue to monitor and investigate reports of these issues closely.
  • ML Direct Media Filters are not currently available in the Radeon Software Media Gallery for image or video content.
  • XSplit may experience an application crashing or freezing when making a scene change.
