AMD Radeon Adrenalin Edition 19.6.2 adds support for new Vulkan features and various bug fixes

The new AMD Radeon Adrenalin Edition 19.6.2 drivers have been released, which add support for various Vulkan features and fix various issues.

New drivers released by AMD. Radeon Software Adrenalin 19.6.2 has been released. No enhancements or optimizations have been made, rather they have been created to correct some issues and add Vulkan support.

Vulkan support

  • VK_EXT_host_query_reset: Allows you to reset queries from the host, rather than to the GPU.
  • VK_EXT_full_screen_exclusive: Gives applications explicit control over exclusive full-screen modes (this is useful for HDR support, for example).
  • VK_AMD_display_native_hdr: It exposes the capabilities of FreeSync2 for better HDR compatibility.
  • VK_EXT_separate_stencil_usage: Separates usage marks for depth / template aspects of a depth / template image allowing to restrict / expand usage in relation to depth aspect.
  • VK_KHR_uniform_buffer_standard_layout: Provides a more flexible alignment for uniform buffers, allowing, among other things, the use of std430 layouts in Vulkan.
