ChatGPT would soon start using a payment model

If you are one of the tens of thousands of people who wanted tinkering with ChatGPT, but you are on an eternal waiting list, and you cannot make many inquiries, don't worry, you are not the only one. OpenAi has seen the enormous popularity it has, and is already in the phases of making a version of Paid ChatGPT.

Earlier this month, OpenAI said that was exploring ways to monetize their AI chatbot ChatGPT. For now, they have given the opportunity to sign up for early access to “ChatGPT Professional.” Some users say they have been granted access to a professional level that costs $42 per month.

If you want to use ChatGPT a lot, you have to pay

OpenAI has not confirmed that this is an official test, nor has it made any announcements about it. It is entirely possible that features and pricing will change before ChatGPT Professional is actually released. As OpenAI said earlier this month: “Please note that this is an early experimental program that is subject to change, and we are not making paid professional access generally available at this time.«.

According to screenshots shared by early access users, for the price of US$42/month, you get faster response speed, more reliable access, priority access to new features. What are those functions? It is not known which ones. But they should be very useful since they're asking $42/month, and it doesn't seem like having priority access and faster response time is enough to keep many users. Zahid Khawaja, a developer working on various AI projects, has shared a video of the professional version. It is seen to work on both desktop and mobile computers.

There have been numerous criticisms regarding the price. Many consider it high, since it is a considerable part of the salary for something that generates texts for you. but for a professional who uses this tool to speed up her work, this could be an investment, and being a professional, its price could be deducted as a business expense. This should be a litmus test to see what professional utility chatbots have, either as something curious to have a laugh with the results, or if they really are a useful tool for many professionals.
