The oldest operating system in Microsoft's history has been Windows 7. As of January 1, 2020, this Windows 7 operating system will no longer be supported. This means that no more improvements or more security patches for vulnerabilities of any kind. Despite this, there would be more than 100 million computers in the world with Windows 7.

Windows 7 is not supported, but is on over 100 million computers
According to NetMarketShare, there are more than 100 million computers around the world with Windows 7. Probably the vast majority in ATMs and other points where the operating system is usually updated every century or so.
But, the most worrying thing is not the figure, but rather that it has increased in market share to stand at 19.71%. This means that it is present in 1 of every 5 computers in the world. It is true that there is the option of extended support paying a fee, something that ends up being much more expensive than migrating to Windows 10 or Linux.
Windows 10, according to NetMarketShare, has a market share of 63.57%. The second is Windows 7 with 19.71, far behind is Mac OS X 10.15 with 4.65%. The Windows 5 operating system closes the Top 8.1 with a 2.65% share and Linux with a 2.31% share.
The sum of all Windows operating systems gives us that Microsoft has an 87.14% share. Second is Mac OS with a 9.52% share and Linux has a 2.68% share. Chrome OS, Google's operating system for computers, has just 0.61% share.
As an interesting fact, the most used search engine in the world is Google with a 67.92% share. The second position is for the Chinese search engine Baidu with 15.52% and the third place is for Bing with 13.12%.
Regarding browsers, Chrome is used by 69.28% of users, followed by Edge with 7.75% of users and Firefox with 7.48%. Safari is barely used by 3.73% and Opera by only 1.12% of users. It is striking that despite not having support, 5.21% of users worldwide still use Internet Explorer.
