Discord and Microsoft Teams add ambient noise cancellation solutions
Most countries in the world have decreed the confinement of a large part of the population at home. This is causing the amount of traffic on the Internet to increase significantly. People who telework, children and young people idle playing on the internet or an increase in the vision of content are the causes. Even voice and messaging services like Discord are suffering these days.
Discord has developed a beta feature that suppresses ambient noise, or at least mitigates it. The idea is to offer conversations as clear as possible, eliminating possible background noises that can be annoying. This function is still under development, allowing to mitigate external noises such as dog barking or conversations that may be around us.

Ambient noise suppression feature in Discord
The great success of Discord lies in the good development by Krisp, which manages to run the application locally without sharing data. The possibility of creating groups, generating voice and audio chats, implementing expansions and other elements that have made it the star platform. Adding a noise canceling feature is a pretty cool idea that has been a long time coming.
A technology that perhaps in times of busier streets would have been more interesting. But Discord is not the only platform that has developed something like this, Microsoft Teams also works on its own technology. Microsoft teams also offers noise cancellation, but in this case based on Artificial Intelligence technology.
The solution developed by Microsoft Teams is more powerful than the Discord solution. This new technology even allows you to eat potato chips with headphones on and whoever is on the call will not even know. A very interesting idea that will come to stay on both platforms.
