AMD releases graphics drivers for The Last of Us Part I

Yesterday the PC version of The Last of Us Part I came out, so that PC users could play the first installment of the series, which recently had a television series on HBO. The result? Many technical issues that have led to the vast majority of reviews on Steam being negative.

As usually happens when there is a major release, graphics manufacturers usually release specific drivers so that games are more optimized for their graphics. In this case, AMD has not been missing, which has published a special version of AMD Software Adrenalin, designed to optimize The Last of Us Part I.

If you have an AMD graphics card, you have drivers for The Last of Us Part I

MD has today released an off-branch version of AMD Software’s Adrenalin that comes with optimization for “The Last of Us: Part 1.” This driver is technically a beta, and is not a part of the regular release trunk for Adrenalin. It comes with the version number 22.40.43.05. Aside from the single optimization of the game, the driver does not include any “fixed issues.” The company did, however, identify some new issues with this release, which it acknowledged in the list below.

  • Some VR games or applications may experience lower than expected performance on Radeon RX 7000 series GPUs.

Now, it is very unlikely that with this patch from AMD Adrenalin, the game in question will suddenly work correctly, since its problems lie more in the game itself. Naughty DSog has already announced that they are working on an internal study to try to correct all possible errors.
