Futuremark will cease to exist and is renamed UL Benchmark

One of the most outstanding stages in the benchmark world is over, as Futuremark closes forever and will be renamed UL Benchmark, although its database is preserved.

Today a twenty-year stage closes. Well, a few days ago the changes began in one of the most important software in the hardware world, specifically the hardware comparison by benchmark. Futuremark has for years been a benchmark and leading company in software development that squeezed the potential of hardware and reflected it in a score. Futuremark, which was acquired by UL in 2014, disappears permanently to make way for UL Benchmark.

UL intends to offer a wide variety of benchmark, inspection, auditing and certification services and solutions for a wide variety of users. Since last April 23, Futuremark has ceased to exist and all the company's social networks become UL Benchmark and, in addition, the Futuremark website has disappeared. This change of name and appearance, they ensure that nothing will change and that everything will continue as it has been up to now, but all of us, from experience, know that they begin with aesthetic changes and in most cases, they end up breaking what was done and Worked well.

They ensure that Futuremark's reference software, such as 3DMark, PCMark, VRMark and other software will not be affected in terms of functionality. The licenses sold for this software will not be modified either, so those who have acquired one of these tools will be able to continue accessing them.

The most important and what interests us the most is the Futuremark benchmark base. The 3Dmark.com website will remain active without modifications and it will be possible to continue to consult the result of the different existing benchmarks and manage the benchmarks. Fortunately, this large database will not disappear, so we can continue to consult scores in the largest database in the world today.
