Gigabyte introduces overclocking for Raptor Lake with PerfDrive

GIGABYTE TECHNOLOGY Co. Ltd, has recently revealed the new PerfDrive technology on the Intel 700 series motherboard platform. This integrates multiple GIGABYTE exclusive BIOS settings to enable easily balance between different levels of performance, power consumption and temperature based on your needs when using 13th generation Intel Core Raptor Lake processors.
PerfDrive also integrates BIOS settings newly developed Optimization and Enhancement specifications. In collaboration with the existing GCC software platform and GIGABYTE's Ultra Durable design, sde offers the most powerful 700 series platform with perfectly matched motherboards in hardware, software and firmware.

GIGABYTE Z790 motherboards have been breaking various all-core overclocking records in benchmarks such as Cinebench R23, even with great DDR overclocking performance of DDR5 9300. Now GIGABYTE PerfDrive technology makes it easier and achievable so that users can enjoy the best performance with the Z790 platform and thus benefit from easy tuning for 13th generation K-SKU Core CPUs on the B760 platform. Meanwhile, PerfDrive technology allows you to meet the needs of various users with an intuitive graphical interface in the GIGABYTE UEFI BIOS along with various BIOS setup modes.

Optimization mode allows processors like the 13th Gen Intel Core Raptor Lake CPU to run at high speeds on all cores, but without throttling from overheating. Its Spec Enhance mode allows processors to balance between high performance and low temperature, including the CPU Intel Core i9-13900K with water cooling 360. E-Core deactivation mode allocates CPU resources to P-core exclusively to increase its overclocking performance, while decreasing the overall power consumption of the processors.
A new GIGABYTE Control Center software platform has also been implemented with a more user-friendly interface for easier application installation, management and updating, and optimized performance, including RGB Fusion, Fan Control and Performance features. RGB Fusion continues with RGB Fusion 2.0, which has a simplified interface. Fan Control carries over from GIGABYTE’s exclusive Smart Fan 6 with a more graphical interface so users can easily adjust fan speed to balance cooling for smooth operation and noise control based on their preference. The Performance function enables an OC function to boost performance with a single click, while the “Customize” function allows users to take full control and save different preference profiles.
